As a Geographer, my teaching and research interests include coastal geomorphology, coastal management and Quaternary coastal environments. I completed my PhD at Canterbury University in 1998 where I investigated processes causing the development of shore platforms working on Kaikoura Peninsula. From 1999 to early 2010 I held a position at the University of Melbourne where I lectured in Geography and Environmental Studies joining the Geography Department of Otago University in 2010. I am currently one of four editors of Geographical Research the journal of the Institute of Australian Geographers and welcome inquiries regarding the submission of papers.
