Prof. Eric Wolanski was invited to visit our laboratory during September 9 to September 25, 2012. He is a professor from the James Cook University and the Australian Institute of Marine Science, and the editor in-chief of Chief Editor of Estuarine, Coastal and Shelf Science. He was awarded the 1st ECSA Life Time Achievement award, an Australian Centenary medal for services in estuarine and coastal oceanography, a Doctorate Honoris Causa from the Catholic University of Louvain, and a Queensland Information Technology and Telecommunication award for excellence.
On September 12, he gave an academic lecture named “Modelling the recruitment of reef and estuarine fisheries” to our staff and students. It created a supportive and pleasant environment for them to have further academic discussion.
