Research Interests:

My research field mainly concerns about the biogeochemical cycling of nutrients and persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in estuarine and coastal ecosystems. Recently, my work is particularly focused on the nitrogen transformation processes (e.g. nitrification, denitrification, dissimilatory nitrate reduction to ammonium, anaerobic ammnoum oxidation) and their interactions with microorganisms in estuarine and coastal environments.
